If you already have purchased TK 102, TK 102-2 or VT 300, you can use online tracking system GPLogger, to track your GPS tracker. All that required is to register on gplogger.com and then activate an existing GPS tracker with automatic activation system. The tracking service is not free, but the costs are really reasonable and depends of subscription period, there is also trial version for symbolic $4 cost to cover the SMS configuration messages. There are two ways to activate the tracker and both of them are very simple and take from 2 to 10 minutes. The first option is to activate the device with already acquired (from GPLogger) tracking package, which includes a SIM card with GPRS traffic (Prices can be calculated on the site, and they depend on the selected region coverage and frequency of position retrievals.) The second option is to activate your GPS device, using your own SIM card with GPRS traffic. Here is step by step instructions, how to add and activate the tracker on GPLogger. | |
| STEP 1: Adding the device to the system. | |
| Go to "My Devices", in "Newly Purchased Devices" section, click the "Add" button in the bottom of the screen. | |
| New Device Wizard opens, first of all you have to choose type of device you want to add to service, for example TK-102 Personal Tracker, then click Next button | |
| The device communication section opens, here your have to choose Tracking by GPRS Connection (Real Time Tracking), and then click next | |
| In this section you have to insert the subscription's activation code, in case you purchased the trial, insert the trial code, otherwise it would be the code provided to you with tracking service purchasing. If you don't have one, there is an option in the bottom of the screen to go to online shop. After the activation code was inserted, click Next | |
| In the device's communication window, you have to insert the number of your SIM card in international format. It is very important!! To insert the correct number, otherwise you will not be able to activate the device during the activation wizard. In mobile network window select your Network Provider from the list or if it is not in list, select Custom Access Point option, and insert your Network Provider APN details. Then click finish. In case you using GPLogger’s SIM card, insert it’s number, then select GPlogger from the list and proceed to the next stage. | |
| You will see from the right the newly purchased device was added to your account. | |
| Now you can activate it. | |
| STEP 2: Activate the added tracker. | |
| In the bottom of the screen click activate button. | |
| An activation wizard opens. Before you click next, very important! Insert the SIM card your will use to track your device in mobile phone (it required for receiving an activation pin code from the system), this step is to verify that the SIM's number you have provided to system is correct. | |
| After the SIM card was inserting, click next. if the SIM card already in your mobile phone, just proceed to the next step of Activation Wizard. | |
| Now click Retrieve Activation Pin button, the SMS message with Activation pin will arrive, if you don't receive the message within 15 seconds, than it means that the number you have provided in the First Step (Add New Device) was wrong. You have to remove the device from the Newly Purchased section and proceed the adding device wizard again. | |
| If you successfully received an Activation Pin code, just insert it in Activation Pin code field and proceed to the next stage by clicking next | |
| Very Important!! To insert the SIM card you will use to track the device, into device, and then click finish. If you click finish before the SIM card was inserted into device the activation will fail. By clicking finish the activation SMS messages will be sending by system to configure the GPS tracker. Of course, you have to verify that tracker is turned on and that SIM card is inside. Wait for 5 minutes and than go to tracking section to see the device on map. | |
